Twenty years ago this month, our company was re-imagined and moved from Burbank, California to South Beloit, Illinois. We chose South Beloit because of it’s proximity to Colleges with Electrical Engineering programs , and Technical Schools with Electronics Technician programs. The biggest reason we came here was the quality of the workforce as a result of those schools, and the embedded manufacturing base that was already here.
We were lucky to have 15% of our full time employees move cross country with us. Many of them had never touched snow!

The results of that move are clear. We’ve developed an electronic control brand with world class quality and best-in-class service. Twenty years later, we have the strongest collective group of expertise and know-how in our market.

HTI Technology Announces the Formation of Global Point Sourcing Solutions

[LA VERGNE, Tennessee, U.S.A.] – April 6, 2023 – HTI Technology today announces the formation of the Global Point Sourcing Solutions (GPSS), which encompasses the brand portfolio of HTI Technology, Klauber Machine & Gear Co (KMG), American Control Electronics (ACE), and Global Point Sourcing Solutions (GPSS). The company is headquartered in La Vergne, Tennessee located just south of Nashville.

Global Point Technology Group (GPTG) provides technology, manufacturing, and sourcing solutions to a wide range of industries. Our expertise is in mechatronics which includes motors, gearing, controls and interfaces, as well as custom engineered components for OEM products. The GPTG is made up of three business segments: Mechanical Group, Electrical Group, and Global Sourcing Group.

The Mechanical Group is comprised of HTI Technology, a global company that designs and produces mechatronics and other motorized assemblies designed to meet their customers’ applications, and Klauber Machine & Gear Co (KMG), a company focused on designing and manufacturing fractional horsepower gear motors, gears, and other related components.

The Electrical Group is comprised of American Control Electronics (ACE) with decades of experience providing electronic drives and control systems. GOT Interface which specializes in HMI assemblies and All Motion, a leader in stepper and servo motor controls and drives.

The Global Sourcing Group, recently created as Global Point Sourcing Solutions (GPSS), is comprised of Global Point Technology USA, Solid Rock, Asia Sourcing Corp, and TRU-Vu Monitors. GPSS provides full supply chain solutions and custom engineered components with more than 40 years experience.

Industry veteran David Nussear, CEO, leads GPTG. He brings 25+ years of industry experience and formerly served as the President and CEO at Bluffton Motor.

Our staff will remain in our Arlington Heights office with no changes. Herb Ruterschmidt, who founded the company in 2009, will be instrumental in transitioning the business to our new General Manager, Paul Lin. After a transition period, Herb will be retiring from TRU-Vu, but will be available to ensure TRU-Vu’s ongoing support.

TRU-Vu Monitors will report up through Global Point Technology (GPT), a member of the Trident Motion family. GPT is a global sourcing and services platform providing supply chain, engineering, and value –added solutions for the Trident family of companies and their customers.

GPT’s capabilities include injection molding, solenoids, wire harness, mechanical and electrical components, rubber products, PCB, electromechanical assemblies, contract manufacturing and tooling. GPT provides high-quality customer engineered components and assemblies serving markets in commercial, industrial, automotive, and medical industries.

GPT has over 38 years of experience in global sourcing of components and solutions in Southeast Asia. GPT can handle all aspects of a new or existing program offering capabilities that range from design, DFM, sourcing, logistics to warehousing on the east or west coast. GPT’s Asia based staff are on site and ensure efficient project management and product compliance.
